We are a French regulated marketplace dedicated to one mission: making professional moving services in France transparent, accountable, and genuinely high-quality. Founded by an industry insider who became president of the national federation, Mon Meilleur Déménageur applies stricter standards than any platform we know of — and we are happy to explain exactly why.
Who we are
Mon Meilleur Déménageur is a French company registered under SIREN 891 840 704, holder of a road transport licence and registered under NAF code 4942Z (moving services). The Mon Meilleur Déménageur trademark has been registered with INPI, the French intellectual property office, since 2020-2021. We operate the domain monmeilleurdemenageur.fr and serve customers across mainland France, with growing coverage in the overseas territories and inbound international moves.
We are not a generic price-comparison site, and we are not a lead-bidding platform. We are a regulated brokerage with a vetted network of moving companies — a model closer to what you would expect from a regulated insurance broker than from a classifieds website.
Our mission
The French moving market is fragmented, opaque, and historically unkind to customers. Quotes vary by a factor of three for the same job. Companies disappear between the deposit and moving day. Damage claims drag on for months. We decided to do something about it, and we built Mon Meilleur Déménageur around three principles that we apply to every single project.
First, we cap distribution at two to three partners per request, rather than the five or six common on competing platforms. Fewer movers in competition means each one takes your file seriously, replies in writing, and prices it accurately rather than racing to the bottom.
Second, we enforce strict KYC at onboarding and renewal: Kbis less than three months old, professional liability insurance specifically covering moving operations, transport licence, URSSAF compliance, and a founder interview. Any company that does not meet these requirements is not activated, regardless of how many leads they want to buy.
Third, we provide a regulated framework around your move — escrow on the deposit through Stripe Connect, written quotes only, a structured claims process, and access to an approved consumer mediator if needed. Our role does not end when you sign the contract.
Why we are different
A few specific choices set Mon Meilleur Déménageur apart from the platforms most French customers have already tried.
We refuse aggressive lead bidding. Movers in our network pay a fixed subscription and a transparent commission on signed contracts. They do not bid for your contact details and they are not penalised for taking time to write you a proper quote.
We do not publish fake reviews. Every review on Mon Meilleur Déménageur is collected after a verified move and tied to a real contract reference. We would rather have fewer reviews than inflated ones — and we have publicly committed never to fabricate customer counts, testimonials, or social proof.
We are run by someone from the industry. Mon Meilleur Déménageur's founder is not a venture-backed outsider trying to "disrupt" moving. He spent years inside the sector, understood the failure modes, and built a platform that addresses them.
Our founder
Mon Meilleur Déménageur was founded by Valeriu Sirbu, who also serves as President of the Fédération française du déménagement (French Federation of Movers), the historic professional body representing moving companies in France. This dual role is what makes our standards both demanding and realistic: we know what a serious moving company can deliver, and we know what to look for when one cannot.
Valeriu personally interviews every applicant moving company before activation. He also chairs Mon Meilleur Déménageur's quality committee, which reviews flagged claims and decides on partner suspensions. He is the named editor and lead author of Mon Meilleur Déménageur's published content — a deliberate EEAT (Experience, Expertise, Authoritativeness, Trustworthiness) choice that we believe consumers deserve.
